For years, I have been hiking and surveying the trails and fire roads of Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, with an eye to preparing a more detailed trail map than the one now available.
I led an Outdoors Club hike on Burnt Pine Trail on October 17, 2009. A few pictures have been posted there. A copy of the trip report has been posted here.
My survey of Burnt Pine Trail shows that it still follows Burnt Pine Fire Road as shown on the topo.
