On November 18, 2010, I rode my mountain bike around the Lusardi Creek Loop Trail, relying on a map and a trail description posted at the trailheads.
Although the posted trail description begins and ends at the San Dieguito Trailhead, I elected to begin and end at Black Mountain Ranch Park, where better facilities and more parking are available.
Topographic maps of this area do not show the current locations of most streets, so I found it necessary to survey some of them. The part of Black Mountain Road shown on the topo has been almost entirely abandoned.
